
Fredericksburg Circuit Court
The Fredericksburg Circuit Court hears felony matters and misdemeanor matters brought by appeal from district court or by direct indictment. The courthouse is located at the following address:
701 Princess Anne Street

The building is at the intersection of Princess Anne Street and Charlotte Street.
The Honorable Gordon F. Willis presides on most days, with the Honorable Sarah L. Deneke handling some dockets. On some days substitute judges are used.
Only street parking is available, except the City’s parking garage at 600 Sophia Street, which is several blocks away. Phones are not allowed in the courthouse and the Sheriff’s staff will not watch your phone for you. Your possessions will be examined and you will have to pass through a metal detector before you will be granted access to the building. The Circuit Court Clerk’s Office is on the ground floor, but the courtrooms are on the third floor.
Court starts promptly at 9:00 a.m. Shorts and hats are not allowed.
